What is the most important mechanism according to you?

For us it would probably be the drivetrain, especially for this year’s game! This is why we are so glad to announce that our drivetrain is officially going to be machined in a few days!
Yohan, our drivetrain expert for the past 3 years, is going to send the plans to our sponsor “Groupe NOEL”!

After the first version, “Yoyo” realized it would be better if he let a hole in front of the drive train in order to let the cone and the cube easily go into the robot. New this year : chains, axes and wheels are directly machined with the drivetrain ! That means that our robot will be a bit lighter, it will have more space for the other mechanisms, and it will be way more solid!

Solidity is an issue because, last year, as you may remember, our robot fell from over 2 meters high and was really weakened. It should no longer be a problem this year!

And our gearboxes are still home made at Robo’Lyon !
