turret advancement

A first version of the turret will soon be ready to be machined. This mechanism will allow our robot’s gripper to turn 180°! Victor G is working on the turret. Last year, during the competition in Chicago, the @pwnage2451 team awarded his turret design with the “most beautiful mechanism” prize. Of course this award was not official, but it made us really happy 🙂 We hope to have as much success this year! 

To make it work, it must be accompanied by a gearbox. We want a turret that rotates fast, so we need a gearbox with torque. Victor F. is working on this CAD project. He has just arrived at Robo’Lyon and yet he is already doing really well!!
